PHP creates files to tell whether a session is open or not. This error pops up when PHP fails to remove an old file, and it thinks you are already active.

If I manually delete the files, you don't get the error message, but that's probably not going to keep it from happening again.

I'm no whiz at PHP, and "my PHP guy" is gone for the weekend. I'm trying to get help elsewhere, but it may be the first part of the week before there is a *permanent* fix.

Hah. As if there were such a thing as a permanent fix. It's sorta like mowing the lawn. No matter how good a job you do this week, the lawn looks ragged in another week. Fix something on the server, and it's an invitation for something else to go wrong....

I don't like to see obscurantist sesquipedalianisms where simple words will do. It's not a matter of etymology but one of clarity.

A while back, I was doing a lot of work on your account, so I remembered your password for a while - but not any longer.

I added a test account to your domain, and I've gotten things fixed so that the test account works OK, but without your password, I can't test your primary account. Secondary accounts are set up a little different than the primary account, so it's possible one would work perfectly and the other not. I think I have it working now, though.

I want to switch to a high-performance mailbox, and SquirrelMail and Horde support that file format, but NeoMail doesn't. If NeoMail indicates that they'll add support soon, I'll hold off - but right now, I expect that we'll lose NeoMail soon.

SquirrelMail is the most popular on our servers, and Horde comes in second. I am among the very few who like NeoMail best.

Hi Paul,i found out an odd thing last night ( just now again too ),that if I log ino to the secure email then I can use all three-any of them to view mail.

I can not log in to my account, can not bring up any of my pages, my www.StarsRanch.com is not working??
whats broke? everything was fine this morning.... all my graphics are blank boxes with red x in the box.... HelP, *Star*

There was a network outage at mid-day for about 90 minutes. I didn't realize that was the problem initially, so I rebooted the server, but when that didn't help, I investigated a little further. The entire subnet was down, not just that one server.

But everything appears to be working OK now.
