Elvis lives.....

Well, pooh, it doesnt play on my pc unless i'm doing something wrong. I will try it on the webtv later this evening. The page looks great. I love animated backgrounds. Another perk having a pc. I couldnt get them to animate on the webtv.

Hi Barbara: When play is clicked the page reverts to a ASX page which is geared to the windows media player that shows the name of tune, etc. The music should continue even if you leave the page. I have msntv2 which is unlike anything else in this world. If you have any windows program on your pc, it should play? I am always interested when things do not work as the challenge of the fix is my interest :~)

Good morning Fred... I didnt get to check out the webtv last night, we had thunderstorms all night and this morning. I pulled up the page on the pc a few minutes ago again. I get a white blank page and the media player doesnt come up. i went in and checked out my player and everything seems to be in order. Maybe someone else will check it out soon and tell us how it is working for them. I grew up with Elvis too and he passed away on my birthday so i always remember him then. will check back soon to see if we have more info.

Fred, sorry i'm still not getting anything. i have windows xp home so it should work. Maybe Paul or Sherry will be on later tonight, try it out and give some feed back on it. I am eager to hear the songs. Hope it doesnt take too much to get it up or maybe it is something on my pc not letting it come up and play.

Barbara, open WMP and click on Tools, Options, then File Types. Make sure wav is selected. See if that makes any difference.

Well, the server's back up, but the ASX is still not working as it should.

The page is being served as text/plain. That shouldn't make any difference in MSIE, since it does what it damned well pleases, but with any other server, I suspect it needs to have a MIME type of video/x-ms-asf .asx

All is working well now. I couldnt get a hot link on the titles earlier but they are working for me now too. The play button is working great also. Fred please feel free to make all the pages like this one that you would like. I could listen all day when i dont have to do the work...lol Good job Fred. I guess Paul fixed something and did a good job on that. Goodnight, or goodmorning i suppose.

Thanks to all of you for the feedback and resolution of the problem. I use asx often and had no idea that some had difficulty with the format. Learn something new all the time :~)
