You hosed the .htaccess files in three of your subdirectories.

At the time of the break-in, you were unhappy about the fact that the timepassages_878kb.wav file wouldn't play. At the time, I was up to my butt in alligators, and didn't take the time to investigate what was wrong with it.

However, while I was in there this afternoon, I downloaded that file, and found that while it wouldn't work as a link, and while it wouldn't play in WinAMP, RealPlayer or QuickTime, it would play in WMP.

Turns out it's not a WAV file at all. It's an MP3. I copied your timepassages_878kb.wav to tpass.mp3, so you have the same file under *both* names. The tpass.mp3 file plays *very* nicely. It hadn't been corrupted at all; it had simply been misnamed, since April 2005!

I don't have a clue what that means! I did nothing with any .htaccess files, wouldn't even mess with them.

I never spoke to you about the timepassages_878kb.wav file not loading, maybe you have me mixed up with someone else? Would sure need to know if there was a break-in into my files!

Yes I know that the timepassages_878kb.wav files is an mp3, I made it myself with AudioActive. I purposely named it a .wav file.

Anyway, please let me know about this break-in that I had no idea happened.

Ma'am, Domania was disabled in the spring of 2005 by, uh, "domestic terrorists". At that time, I was called in to get Domania working again.

If you tell Apache that a file is the wrong type, it gets served incorrectly, and your site doesn't work properly.

If you weren't playing the same kind of silly games with the .htaccess files that you were playing with the MP3 file, then your account has been compromised. Please call me to discuss passwords. We need to talk, anyway, about your serious arrearage.

whom I've told about Domania... She is interested in having a secure place to store her photos and such and I told her about Domania. I tried to send her the home page, but all that comes up is the redirect page to bring folks to the new forum.
Is this the only way for her to get in or is there some other way? She isn't interested in forums or blogs...
