After clicking on "Browse," I get the pop-up window with the My Pictures files on my pc alright. And I managed to choose the file I want ok. But when I attempt to type in the file extension ( in this case ".jpg") the original name that appeared in the slot for my selected picture suddenly is erased, and I have to type the whole thing in its place.
Then when I go down to click "upload," I'm faced with a whole bunch of other words in the slot where I just typed in my file's name and extension. And the second slot, just below the file name's slot, says "All Files." So I've been chickening out, and leaving the entire "uploading" window and starting all over again, as I do NOT want to transfer ALL the files in the My Pictures folder, or whatever it's correctly called, into my domania.us account. But then the same process(above) happens all over again. What am I doing, and/or perceiving, incorrecly? TIA E&D

Re: pc uploader
Hi Dusty,
After you click on Browse and then click on the image you want to upload, the name will appear in the "file name" text area of the popup window. When you click on that file name text, it will be highlighted. The next click when you start to type is what's deleting it. To keep from deleting something you have highlighted, click a second time in that same text area (before you start typing).
But, using the PC Uploader, you don't type anything in that popup browser window anyway. Just click on the picture you want and then click on Open at the bottom right of that popup window. This will place the image address next to the Browse button on the PC Uploader page.
Now, go right below that on the PC UPloader page in the text area that says "new file name (optional)", and type in the name you want the picture to have and the file type, such as cat.jpg or dog.gif, etc. Then, after you choose the pics you want to upload, scroll down and type in the subdirectory you want to upload to, and click on the "Upload them" button on the pc uploader page.
A tip-- open up one of your folders on your pc such as My Pictures, and click on Tools at the top of the browser. Then click on Folder Options, View. Find the option that says "Hide extensions for known file types", and de-select that. Then click on Apply at the bottom, then Okay. Now the next time you use the PC Uploader, you can just click on the picture you want to upload, choose the subdirectory you want it to go to, and click upload them. You won't even have to type in a name and a file extension in the text area that says "new file name (optional)". The files will keep their original names and file extensions... just makes it easier. :)
I hope I'm not too confusing, let me know if this helps. :)
