Trouble in webby land

With all the problems Domania is having, it's good to know Paul is on it and making things right again. Too bad I can't say the same about the "other host" whose owners have gone AWOL for more than a month. If you don't believe me, take a look at WWH NG where a big flame war is raging. A few people are concerned (yours truly included) this host may go belly up and files lost forever. Those concerns were posted, and some brave person actually posted a link to an alternative host (the "competition" as several true blue webbys call it). Then the flames flew, and are still flying.

Whatever is going on -- marital problems, family illness, financial woes, et. al. -- It's not doing the paying customers any good. I tried emailing the owners several times, urging them to come to the NG and set things right, but got no replies. This is not good, so I'm ready to transfer some of my important files from there elsewhere, maybe get out altogether. Shades of Dreamserver. You know, some folks can never get over their devotion before it's too late.
How sad because I thought it was a not so bad (but not so great) operation. I guess I was wrong. :(

A friend of mine was a farmer. He couldn't keep his pants zipped, and pretty soon, there was a court order that he couldn't come within 100 yards of their farm.

Unfortunately, when it came to caring for swine, she didn't have the vaguest idea. She couldn't even figure out how to feed them. He managed to get the judge to amend the order, so he had to stay away from the house, but he could tend to the animals in the barn, but you could imagine what would have happened if the judge hadn't grown up on a farm.

I've heard rumors to the effect that they're experiencing marital discord, but nobody seems able to explain *how* they know that. Personally, I think it's an overactive imagination. And I appreciate your loyalty, but as long as their servers are UP and one of mine is DOWN, I'm sure going to fare poorly in a mud-slinging contest.

Let's take the high road here, OK?
